TESTS CONDUCTED

DELTA Switchboards are type tested to requirements for a Fully Type Tested Assembly ( TTA) as per IEC 60439-1 Clause 2.1.1.1 which defines a TTA as that : “A low voltage switchgear and controlgear assembly conforming to an established type or system without deviations likely to significantly influence the performance from the typical ASSEMBLY verified to be in accordance with this standard.”

The performance requirements of DELTA switchboards are tested and recorded in the ASTA test certification for the following tests: Temperature Rise Test Shortcircuit withstand strength of main circuit Shortcircuit withstand strength of protective circuits Mechanical operations test ( for Circuit Breakers ) Dielectric properties Effectiveness of protective circuit Clearances and creepage distances IP degree of protection.

The Switchboards are tested for service conditions for an ambient of 50 degree celcius and for a pollution degree 4 which defines suitability in a persistent conductivity caused, for instance, by conductive dust or by rain or snow .
